Aqeel is the most sought after DJ and has played in more countries than most people can name. He is also the only Indian DJ to fill up concert size venues internationally. Besides playing for every celebrity one can think off, he has been the only DJ to play twice at the World Economic Forum in Davos entertaining the likes of Bill Clinton and Kofi Annan.

AKS is a music composer, arranger and remixer, born and brought up in Dubai. Originally from Bangladesh, he has emerged as a popular musician in the Bollywood and International Music Scene.

Aks has Produced and performed in Dubai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Goa and Dhaka. He has performed with DJ Suketu at the War of the DJs Finale as Guest Djs held at the Yash Raj Film Studios.

In 2006, Aks joined 2 Times MTV Immies winner and India's No.1 Bollywood DJ Suketu to Co-produce Music. Together they had the pleasure of working with artists such as Adnan Sami, Salim- Suleiman, Pritam, Himesh Reshammiya, Ishq Bector, Kunal Ganjawala, Shaan, Anushka Manchanda, Sophie Chowdhury, Javed Ali, Sukhbir, Zubeen Garg, Mika, Mustafa Zahid, Atif Aslam and many more.

Indian remix guru, DJ Akbar Sami shot to fame with his first remix album'Jalwa'. There has been no looking back since. A veteran now, Sami, some of the recognitions that have come his way over the years include, the All Asian DJ Championship and Channel [V]'s Best Indian Club DJ. He tried his hand at remixing some of the Bollywood numbers too, to finally become a music director himself, with Fast Forward.

DJ Asad is one of the pioneers of the Indian DJ scene and has been in the profession since the 80's. He is one of the first DJ's to introduce Electronic Music to the Indian Dance Scene. He has also been instrumental in promoting Psyc Trance and other forms of EDM since he began his tryst with music. Apart from playing music, Asad has been very active in conceptualizing and organizing events. He was the first one to start the most popular 'Friday Night Trance' at the Razzberry Rhinoceros in Mumbai, in 96' which ran successfully until the club closed in 2003.

He successfully set up and managed the most popular Open Air Psy-Trance Club in Goa - 'Paradiso De Anjuna' - (1994 - 2000) which in it's heydays saw some of the best acts in the world. 'Dance Ganesh Visarjan' which started as a small event in 99 has today become a major tourist attraction with over 30,000 people attending it.

He has also designed and managed numerous clubs but today is only focusing on his music. He has also spun his magic in Europe, Middle-East, USA, South East Asia, UAE, Mauritius, Nepal and in all corners of India.

Tamir Ozana (29 Yr.), from Israel, is Atomic Pulse. The Atomic Pulse project is considered as one of the most noticeable and influential projects of the new millennium. DJ AJ started his career when he was just 15 years old. After playing for a couple of private parties and social events, he began getting offers. Dj Brute Force is also known as Tuhin Mehta. In a country bursting at the seams with melodic sing-along popular film music, you would think it's suicidal for a DJ to play a sound that, instead of making you flit carelessly around trees, makes you want to ricochet off the walls of a nightclub, fling your arms towards the strobe lights and lose your sanity.

Meet Tuhin Mehta, a DJ for whom 'radically different' is the norm. With a career spanning 16 years, and a sound that's developed from the first time he connected his CD players and a 2-channel mixer to his home system, Tuhin's DJ sets have scythed a niche for himself in India.

His tunes vary from deep minimal tech to electro, to rumbling progressive bass-lines, to tribal, techno and trance; creating a musical palette that's diverse and fluid. Sold out clubs and delirious fans have labeled his unique style of playing "EnergiTech", a sound that hits you square in the torso, with seamless transitions loaded with hard hitting drums and quirky electronic melodies.

As a producer, he is one half of the duo Brute Force, a collaboration that began many years ago with childhood friend Shane Mendonsa. Together, they've launched Brutal By Birth, the subcontinent's first independent house Label, promoting their unique brand of hard hitting, acid laden, bass heavy dance floor stompers.

Tuhin holds numerous residencies around India and is part of the core team of Submerge, India's leading resource for dance music on the web and regular club night. In 2007 he was one of the few DJs from India invited to play at Asia's premier dance festival Sunburn, at Candolim beach in Goa. The festival line-up included some of the biggest global names in the dance industry.

His set at Sunburn 2008 was rated by many as the best of the festival, overshadowing many big name international acts. At Sunburn 2009 he was invited to play for Gatecrasher along with the likes of Sied van Riel & John Fleming.

With several new releases in the pipeline for Brute Force and a busy DJ diary, it looks like 2011 is going to be Tuhin's best year yet.

Is one of the first female Hip Hop DJs in India. Her style is typically old school but she gets down with the new school vibe just as well. She started her foray into DJ-ing in 2005 and is now a resident DJ at the popular Mumbai nightlife joints namely, Zenzi (Bandra) and Zenzi Mills (Lower Parel). She is also one of the content writers and chief-editors of the well-known blogsite www.Bombayhiphop.com. DJ Lil’B aka Bhavini Shah is a 23 year old music aficionado who loves to party. She is the 1st Indian DJ to spin on Ableton Live and it’s her talent and workaholic nature that has got her to where she is today.

Nikhil Chinapa's love affair with house music began in the early nineties, in his hometown, Bangalore. Roger Sanchez, Robin S, Nightcrawlers and Todd Terry's early experiments with bass infused jazz and disco driven house found an ardent fan in him. Music however, besides the weekly house parties, took a back seat for a while, as Nikhil pursued a degree in Architecture, while simultaneously hosting radio shows in Chennai and Bangalore. A subsequent MTV talent search picked him out of 7,000 aspirants and kick started his career as a presenter on MTV India. During his travels with the channel, he started trawling clubs and dance-floors across South-east Asia, Europe, the UK and particularly Ibiza (now an annual journey).

He started his DJ career in 2001, drawn to vinyl records and the funky sounds of UK house and distinctly Latin infused Ibirecan sounds of the beach bars in Ibiza. Regular trips to London and a network of DJ friends sustained his Vinyl fetish, and kept his bag of tunes fresh and ahead of releases.

His style of playing crowd friendly funky house, with percussive tribal overtones, ensured a steady stream of gigs. He moved easily from playing bars filled with 150 people to opening sets for the multi-city Smirnoff experience parties in India, playing to crowds of 5000 clubbers. His sets combine a balanced blend of fresh tunes from dance-floors around the world, and the occasional crowd pleasing floor filler. The sets ebb and flow; percussive and in-your-face for a while, melodic and reflective another… never quite letting go.

In 2003, he, along with DJ Pearl founded SUBMERGE, an underground movement of Indian DJs promoting house. Submerge currently runs regular nights in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore Delhi and Goa. Plans to launch Indore and Ahmedabad are being discussed currently.

He has done the historical Bhangra remix for 'Summer of 69', established himself for a new generation of clubbers through Saturday night show on 93.5 Red FM, played at the top nighclubs and events, officially ranked among the top best DJs of India by the Times group and MTV, responsible for the success of the club Provogue Lounge (his first residency). At the same time he has also wowed crowds internationally in far flung places as Egypt, Australia, Malasiya, South Africa, Indonesia, Italy, Hong Kong and many more.

Italian born, London adopted Phabi-D started her DJing career almost by accident during a long sojourn in Goa in 2007. As a keen lover of dance music she found quality club nights hard to come by and decided to take matters in her own hands by organizing parties around North Goa and spinning her selection of party tunes.

Initially playing a blend of world beats, reggae and electronic music which resonated with people who were looking for an alternative to the mainstream Goa sound, Phabi-D embarked on a musical journey by constantly experimenting with new ideas and keeping her ears open to the global sounds.

As the gigs started moving away from the beaches into Indian cities and clubs the sound of Phabi-D became gradually more refined and influenced by her trips to Berlin during the summer months morphing into an eclectic blend of deep minimal house and soulful techno, keeping dance floors around the country bouncing with infectious grooves and organic rhythms.

Phabi-D has now played in all the major cities in India and all the clubs who are redefining dance music both by nurturing and exporting local talents as well as inviting international DJs to perform to an ever-growing electronic music savvy audience. Priyanjana started as a trainee at 'Tantra', a premier night club in Kolkata as an assistant DJ where she spent a little over a year understanding the technical aspects of the art. Growing up surrounded by melodies, around vinyl-collecting parents, her prologue began as a search for that perfect synergy of music and atmosphere. Clubbing across the globe, forever in search of new tunes, a deep passion was born for a genre that proved to be definitive for Pearl - House music.

To try and breakdown her sound is futile, because she is always one-step ahead of the definition. Her authoritative style has evolved from sheer, unforgiving hard work over a period of time when little support for this profession existed. Since the beginning, it was, and always has been just her and the music - just the way she likes it. Always playing the freshest sounds, her innate sense of timing and almost psychic ability to read crowds has pushed Pearl beyond stereotypes. This isn't a "woman" DJ, and certainly isn't the finest female DJ this side of the planet - she is now simply, heralded as the finest. Period.

Pearl has pioneered the cause of house music across the Indian subcontinent. This commitment to EDM led her to be one of the co-founders of 'Submerge' along with Nikhil Chinapa and Hermit Sethi (www.submerge.in), India's premiere electronic music party which serves as a platform for upcoming DJs in the country and also responsible for bringing down some of the world's finest talent. From a humble beginning seven years ago of a few hundred fanatic clubbers, Submerge, which Pearl spearheads, now hosts weekly nights across all the major cities in the country and can now boast of a nationwide community of loyal members.

The juggernaut also rolled in Sunburn, held in December for the past three years - the biggest beach festival on Goa's famed sands - hosted by PDM Entertainment and co-promoted by Submerge, where Pearl spins her magic to a completely international crowd, who travel from across the globe to witness India's first EDM festival on Candolim beach.

Simultaneously, she headlines the Submerge-Zanzibar beach parties. They started five years ago as an improvised beach party for a few friends, snowballing into a massive weeklong celebration with over fifteen thousand EDM lovers.

Pearls set's also vibed with Simon Dunmore - the head of the colossal dance music label, Defected Records - which led to a country-wide tour presented by Defected. Pearl, along with the phenomenal funky-house Defected-duo Copyright blazed a musical trail that left clubbers completely exhausted in its wake. Trailblazing indeed - Pearl and Copyright each mixed a cd, which resulted in a wicked Defected/Submerge compilation - the first of its kind in India.

Pearl's sound couldn't be contained to national boundaries any further. This release - the first for House music on Indian shores was quickly followed by a second - only this time Pearl went global. Defected Goa '09 was released internationally to much acclaim. Pearl shared the compilation honours with none other than Simon Dunmore and the stalwart of the House music world ATFC. If these firsts were not enough, Pearl went on to be the only DJ invited from India to play at the famed club Ministry of Sound in London. This was soon followed by her personal best, a set at the legendary Pacha in Ibiza. From decks in Tokyo to France and Ibiza, she has done it all and at present writing she is arguably one of India's best EDM exports to the world.

DJ Ricky has been playing music for the past 6 years. A certified audio engineer from SAE (School of Audio Engineering), Mumbai, he is currently the resident DJ at Manchester United Cafe Bar, Phoenix mills, Mumbai. He has won a lot of college competitions in Kolkata and stands proud as the Winner of Redbull Thre3style from Mumbai, Pune and Goa; also, a Runners-up at Kingfisher Ultra Soul Flip (Best House DJ), Mumbai.

DJ Ricky plays a lot of commercial music like Bollywood, Hip-Hop, RnB and House music with his specialization being Progressive and Tech-House. In little time, DJ Ricky has managed to build a following of his own and it is almost certain that he will climb the ladder of national and international success in the days to come.

Shiv Gupta aka DJ Shiva Moon is South India's most well-known export to the Electronic Music industry. Shiv has been spinning his signature sound since the late nineties when he lived in Los Angeles. Together with is father, he owns one of the biggest and well known places for moonlight parties in Goa, Hilltop-Goa! Needless to say, that he is the in-house DJ for the weekly parties held at Hilltop. The icing on the cake, though, is his scintillating electromagnetic music that entertains crowds of 10,000 and more, at some of the biggest events in Goa and that being the Christmas and New Year parties. These annual events, each carry on for nearly 36-72 hours and are attended by not only party hoppers from around the world but also by well-known media celebrities.

23 year-old Swapnil Chavan is an inspiration for youngsters who dare to dream and turn them into reality. At 16 years of age, he played at his friend's birthday party and made the crowd groove to his tunes. As time passed, he worked on his skills and destiny brought him closer to his dream when he got his first big break - a chance to play at a night club called Zaha (Mumbai). Here, Swapnil's tunes ensured that the crowd dint move off the dance floor till the wee hours of the morning. Soon night clubs and lounges such as Rock bottom, Razz berry, Onyx, Seven, Six degrees, Azziano, Ra, Tantra, Amnesia, Lush, Haze, Escape, Rain, On toes, Purple haze, KIR, Cinnamon, Vie lounge, Prive and Aurus in Mumbai wanted to hear this kid play. Mumbai had not got enough of him, when people from Sixth element (Hyderabad), Rhapsody (Marriott Chennai) and Agni (The park hotel Delhi) invited him to lift the party at their prestigious night spots.

It was time for Swapnil to turn into DJ SWAP, when he became the resident DJ for the longest running and most happening night club Red Light in Mumbai. When the owners of Red Light opened their second famous club in Bandra which goes by the name Squeeze, they couldn't think of any one besides DJ SWAP to keep the crowd grooving.
